How do I find the right size?

Our size finder will recommend a size for you. Simply measure your wrist circumference (measured tightly, not the way you want it to fit) and enter it into our calculator.

Please note that our size guide is for guidance only. Of course, your personal feeling for optimal wearing comfort is the most important factor. In principle, however, the clasp of your bracelet should be centered on the top of your wrist and leave about one fingertip of space.

How can I shorten or lengthen my Fischers Fritze bracelet?

We will gladly exchange a new and unworn Fischers Fritze bracelet within 30 days.

A subsequent extension is unfortunately not possible from a purely technical point of view. 

Can I put together my own desired bracelet? (Clasp and band color)

Of course, we give thought to the selection and composition of the ribbons and closures. Therefore, an individual choice of closure and ribbon color is not possible. Please forgive us if we could not meet your taste.

What is the best way to take care of my Fischers Fritze bracelet?

You can use your sailing rope-bracelet in lukewarm soapy water and then rinse it off with clear water.

For Fischers Fritze bracelets made of leather there are the following care tips:
- avoid contact with water, especially salt and chlorinated water. Take off your leather strap before washing your hands, showering and before exercising.
- Chemical agents such as cream, perfume or deodorant can attack the leather and should not come into direct contact with your leather strap if possible.
- We recommend the occasional use of leather grease, spray or milk. Apply a thin layer of the care product and then wipe it off with a soft cloth.

Are there any special care tips for coated closures?

To ensure that our rose gold-colored clasps live up to their royal name, they are refined using a special PVD coating technique. The coating contains copper, which, like almost every metal, has the ability to oxidize over time. This natural process cannot be completely avoided, but you can prevent a change in color with a few simple tips:

- take off your bracelet with rose gold clasp before showering or exercising to reduce contact with sweat.
- Chemical agents such as cosmetics or cleaning agents can promote oxidation - so try to avoid direct contact.
- Clean the cap regularly with a microfiber cloth and then polish it with a care oil, e.g. Ballistol.

Coated fasteners are also scratch-resistant, but not scratch-free. Heavy mechanical abrasion can cause the coating to wear off in the long term, revealing the silver stainless steel underneath. Therefore, make sure your bracelet fits properly and it is best not to wear it in combination with other jewelry or watches.

Can the material of my bracelet change over time? 

sailing rope is a synthetic material and can change slightly over time - UV rays, water or chemical agents can hardly harm it. However, it does have the property of shrinking slightly over time. This shrinking process is completely normal and we take it into account when manufacturing our bracelets. It is important that you choose the right fit right from the start and that the bracelet does not stretch. This will give you the feeling that your Mackerel, crab or Shrimp is adapting more and more to your wrist.

Leather, on the other hand, can become softer and expand slightly over time, as you have no doubt observed with shoes. It is important to care for the natural material regularly, otherwise it can dry out and crack over time. Whether and how much the material changes depends on numerous different factors. A high frequency of wear naturally increases the likelihood of soiling or changes in texture. However, if you follow our care instructions, you can prevent wear and tear and enjoy your bracelet for a long time.

Can my Fischers Fritze bracelet rust?

No! Our stainless steel closures are absolutely rustproof. However, various particles, e.g. metal shavings or sand, can accumulate on the surface of the closure and form so-called rust film. You can easily remove this superficial rust with a cloth.
We also recommend that you clean your Fischers Fritze bracelet thoroughly after an extensive visit to the beach and at regular intervals.

Can I lose my Fischers Fritze bracelet?

But sure, we can't absolve ourselves from this - however, we can counteract a loss. For this we do our best here at Fischers Fritze and check every bracelet before the shipping. Our clasps have very strong magnets that can withstand a lot of stress. See for yourself.
Please note that in many cases a loss is caused by choosing the wrong size. The bracelet should not be too tight or too loose.

Is it possible to engrave the bracelets individually?

We cannot engrave the clasps of our bracelets individually.

The clasps can also be engraved at a later date - so it is possible for jewelers or locksmiths to engrave them individually at any time. Please note, however, that exchanges and return are absolutely excluded after engraving.

What is the best way to maintain my Fischers Fritze-Keychain ?

You can simply soak your sailing rope-Keychain in lukewarm soapy water and then rinse with clean water.

How does the shackle work?

The shackle is for decoration and in no case replaces the key ring. If necessary, you can of course omit the shackle.
Of course, but not always clear: of course, the shackle screw must be properly tightened so that it is not lost.

Here you can order a replacement shackle at a low price. Please note that the purchase of a replacement shackle is usually only worthwhile in conjunction with the purchase of another product due to the shipping costs.

Can my Fischers Fritze-Keychain rust?

Is it possible to engrave the Keychain individually?

We cannot individually engrave the locks of our Keychain here on site. However, it is always possible for jewelers or locksmiths to engrave them individually. Please note, however, that exchanges and return are absolutely excluded after engraving.

Is there also a magnetic clasp for the chain strap? 

The strap of our lifebuoy was developed for knotting to support the basic maritime concept. The length can be varied using various knotting techniques, such as the fisherman's knot.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to use a magnetic clasp as with our bracelets. The clasp would be so weak in the size of the 2 mm band that you would constantly pull it on unnoticed and could lose the chain.

Of course, you also have the option of using a strap other than the one supplied. In any case, we advise you not to use a metal chain.

How does the shipping work?

The shipping of your order will be sent with the shipping confirmation. We ship your order with DHL - you will receive a separate email from DHL for tracking with your tracking number.
We ship all orders after receipt no later than the next business day. Usually the delivery takes place within 1-3 business days.

Why do I pay shipping costs and what does the shipping cost me?

As a purely online store, we are faced with the question of how and, above all, how expensive we can best deliver our products to your home. It is particularly important to us to offer a transparent and fair product price and not to be guided by large corporations. We therefore do not hide any secret costs in the item price, but charge them up to a purchase amount of 65 euros.

In doing so, we also accept that one or two orders may not be placed. In principle, however, a shipping must always cost money, because numerous processes take place between our door and yours to ensure that you have your bracelet on your wrist and can check where it is at any time in the meantime.

The shipping costs within Germany are EUR 3.60 per order.
The shipping costs for orders to all other countries are EUR 5.60.

Why does the DHL shipping status not update?

According to DHL it can take up to 48 hoursuntil the shipment status is updated. Experience has shown that this happens particularly frequently with shipments that we send on Mondays, as these shipments are usually delivered on the following Wednesday. If the status of your shipment has still not changed, please contact our customer service.

What payment options do I have?

A Fischers Fritze bracelet costs a lot - a lot of time. Because we work with our hands, cutting, gluing, engraving and checking. We do quite a lot. And that's a good thing. Because the result is unique and precious. It's simply handmade. And because each of us only has two hands, a Fischers Fritze bracelet has its price, which we do not reduce.

Exchange and return

How does the exchange work?

We will gladly exchange your Fischers Fritze product within 30 days of receiving your order. Please note that we can only exchange the size and/or products in the same price category. If you would like a product in a different price range, please use the cancellation option and reorder the desired item.

How does the return work ?

1. print the Fischers Fritze- withdrawal form or write down all relevant information on a piece of paper - the order number (ff-...) is particularly important here. If you have paid in advance, please also make a note of your bank details.

2. send the item(s) together with the withdrawal form in the original box or another shipping bag to the following address. We recommend that you use shipping with proof of delivery (e.g. registered letter).

3. after receiving your return, we will refund your order as quickly as possible to the account used for the order. If you return the entire order, we will also refund the initial shipping costs paid.
We would like to point out that already worn bracelets are excluded from return .

What costs do I incur for a return?

The return of your order to us is normally at your own expense. Which shipping method and which company you choose is entirely up to you and makes no difference to our processing. However, we always recommend an insured shipment.

In the event of an exchange, we will send the new item(s) back to you at our own expense - here we meet in the golden mean, so to speak. This rule also applies if you have to exchange an item twice.

If you cancel the entire order, we will refund the initial shipping costs incurred.
If you only want to cancel part of your order, please note our free shipping limit. This is linked to a purchase amount of 65 euros and does not apply if, for example, you ultimately decide on only one of three items. In this case, we will offset the shipping costs of 3.60 euros (DE) against the amount of the refund - so in the end you will always pay exactly what is ultimately purchased.

What happens to items that I return?

If you send an item back to us, it will always be returned directly to our workshop without any detours - i.e. to the place where it was manufactured and dispatched. Depending on where you send the shipment from, the distance is always from your front door to ours and avoids unnecessary extra kilometers.

As a rule, we unpack returns on the same working day we receive them and take a close look at the products. If a product is not returned to us in perfect condition, we try to refurbish it. This means, for example, replacing halves of the clasp or shortening a damaged strap to a smaller standard size. We therefore do not simply dispose of items carelessly, but return (flawless) items for sale. This is the only way we can ensure that we conserve resources in the long term.

Of course, an honest exchange with our customers is also important. Therefore, please only send us products for exchange or return that have not been worn - of course we do not mean a short fitting. If there is a problem, simply contact our customer service. We always try to find a fair solution. For you, for us, for the environment.

Are there any special features for returns from Switzerland? 

If you live in Switzerland, a direct exchange is unfortunately not possible due to the associated customs process and must be made via return with a new order. 

There are two options for returning goods to us - we can either issue you with a returns label, which simply needs to be printed out and stuck on the parcel. The return shipment will then reach us within a few working days and we will refund the purchase price paid. If you cancel the entire order, you will also be refunded the shipping costs paid for the first time. At the same time, however, we will charge you 10 euros for the label issued, as returns are always paid for by our customers.

The second option would be for you to place the return shipment yourself with a shipping company of your choice. In this case, the shipment has to go through customs again at Cologne and is then delivered to us. This process usually takes considerably longer and is more difficult to track. 

If you are returning goods from Switzerland, it is best to contact our customer service by e-mail or telephone so that nothing can go wrong and you can get your desired product as quickly as possible.
