The sea rescuers are on call around the clock and in all weathers. They are often on the move on the North Sea and Baltic Sea just when other ships are seeking shelter in port - a total of around 2,000 times every year. They do this voluntarily and selflessly. We think that's great, and for every lifering sold, we donate 10% of the purchase price to the sea rescuers.
8 to 12 million tons of plastic end up in the oceans every year, mostly via rivers. The approach of the organization "Plastic Fischer" is to collect plastic waste already in the rivers.
We think this is great, and have donated 10% of the purchase price for each sold lifering to the Plastic Fischer. The donation per sold lifering has ensured that 2 KG of plastic waste was pulled out of the rivers.
