The " Mackerel " No. 1 comes in its own packaging featuring the number 1. Inside the box is a laser-engraved wooden medallion bearing the portrait of the man who wore the first " Mackerel ": Kilian, our founder. The bracelet itself is our classic model: 8 mm sail rope, magnetic clasp, handcrafted at Cologne.

Our " sail rope " is manufactured and dyed in Germany. It’s not just another anonymous, mass-produced cord—it’s a rope with character. Sturdy, waterproof, and colorfast, so your bracelet can withstand wind, weather, and everyday wear and tear.
The encapsulated stainless steel magnetic clasp is our own design: it holds securely, opens with a single click, and won't rust. It's not some cheap off-the-shelf part—it's the detail that sets the original apart.
Whenever leather is used, it is naturally tanned: using plant-based substances instead of harsh chemicals. Materials that are allowed to age and become more beautiful over time.
Every bracelet is crafted in our Cologne workshop and inspected before it leaves the factory. Fair working conditions, short supply chains, full accountability.
In mid-October 2012, we created our first “ sail rope ” bracelet at our workbench. This marked the beginning of Fischers Fritze.
The first " Mackerel " finds its wearer. An idea becomes a real product.
Fischers Fritze is going online. Handcrafted bracelets are shipped directly from the workshop to customers all over the world.
The collection is growing. The "Krabbe" model is joining the family.
In September 2015, our proprietary magnetic clasp will hit the market: encased and made of stainless steel. The detail that sets the original apart.
The Shrimp is the latest standalone model to join the lineup.
The clasp has been significantly improved: it stays in place even more securely and is even more reliable for everyday use.
A secret modification—which we won't reveal—significantly increases the straps' stability and tear resistance.
Our first bracelet is making a comeback as a limited edition. It doesn't feature the clasp from back then, but rather our current version of the encapsulated stainless steel magnetic clasp. It also comes with the number 1 on the packaging and Kilian's wooden coin inside the box.
Fourteen years ago, this bracelet set us on the right path. Now we’re bringing it back, in a limited edition. For everyone who’s been with us since day one, and for everyone joining us today.
