How do I find the right size?

Our size finder will suggest the best fit for you. Simply measure your wrist circumference (snugly, not loosely) and input it into our calculator.

Please keep in mind that while our size guide offers guidance, your personal comfort is paramount. Ideally, the clasp of your bracelet should sit centered on the top of your wrist with about one fingertip's worth of space.

How can I shorten or lengthen my Fischers Fritze bracelet?

We are happy to exchange any new and unworn Fischers Fritze bracelet within 30 days.

Can I customize my own bracelet? (Clasp and band color)

We carefully consider the selection and combination of ribbons and closures, hence customization of closure and ribbon colors is not available. We apologize if we couldn't meet your preferences.

How do I maintain my Fischers Fritze bracelet (care instructions)?

For sailing rope-bracelets: You can clean your sailing rope bracelet by soaking it in lukewarm soapy water and then rinsing it off with clear water.

For leather breacelets:
- Avoid exposing your leather bracelet to water, especially salt and chlorinated water. Remove your leather strap before washing your hands, showering, or engaging in physical activities.
- Keep your leather bracelet away from chemical agents such as creams, perfumes, or deodorants, as they can damage the leather.
- We recommend occasionally using leather grease, spray, or milk. Apply a thin layer of the care product and then wipe it off with a soft cloth.

Are there any special care tips for coated closures?

To ensure that our rose gold-colored clasps live up to their royal name, they are refined using a special PVD coating technique. The coating contains copper, which, like almost every metal, has the ability to oxidize over time. This natural process cannot be completely avoided, but you can prevent a change in color with a few simple tips:

- Remove your bracelet with a rose gold clasp before showering or exercising to minimize contact with sweat.
- Chemical agents such as cosmetics or cleaning agents can accelerate oxidation, so try to avoid direct contact.
- Regularly clean the clasp with a microfiber cloth and then polish it with a care oil, such as Ballistol.

Coated fasteners are scratch-resistant, but not scratch-free. Heavy mechanical abrasion can cause the coating to wear off over time, revealing the silver stainless steel underneath. Therefore, ensure that your bracelet fits properly and consider avoiding wearing it in combination with other jewelry or watches.

By also adhering to the general care instructions, your Fischers Fritze bracelet should maintain its shine for a long time.

Can the material of my bracelet change over time? 

Sailing rope is a synthetic material and may undergo slight changes over time. UV rays, water, or chemical agents have minimal impact on it. However, it does possess the property of shrinking slightly over time. This shrinking process is entirely normal, and we account for it during the manufacturing of our bracelets. It's important to select the correct fit from the outset and prevent the bracelet from stretching. This ensures that your Mackerel, Crab, or Shrimp bracelet gradually conforms to your wrist over time.

On the other hand, leather can become softer and expand slightly over time, as is often observed with shoes. It's crucial to regularly care for this natural material to prevent it from drying out and cracking over time. The extent of material changes depends on various factors. Frequent wear increases the likelihood of soiling or changes in texture. However, by adhering to our care instructions, you can minimize wear and tear and enjoy your bracelet for years to come.

Can my Fischers Fritze bracelet rust?

No, it cannot! Our stainless-steel closures are completely rustproof. However, various particles, such as metal shavings or sand, may accumulate on the surface of the closure, forming a so-called rust film. You can easily remove this superficial rust with a cloth.
We also recommend thoroughly cleaning your Fischers Fritze bracelet after an extensive visit to the beach and at regular intervals.

Can I lose my Fischers Fritze bracelet?

Certainly, it's a possibility we can't deny. However, we take measures to prevent this from happening. Here at Fischers Fritze, we do our utmost to ensure the security of your bracelet by thoroughly checking each one before shipping. Our clasps feature very strong magnets capable of withstanding significant stress. You can see for yourself.
Please keep in mind that in many cases, choosing the wrong size can contribute to the risk of loss. The bracelet should neither be too tight nor too loose.

Is it possible to engrave the bracelets individually?

We do not offer individual engraving on the clasps of our bracelets.

However, the clasps can be engraved at a later date by jewelers or locksmiths if desired. Please note that once engraved, exchanges and returns are absolutely excluded.

What is the best way to maintain my Fischers Fritze keychain ?

You can simply soak your sailing rope-Keychain in lukewarm soapy water and then rinse with clean water.

For Fischers Fritze-Keychain made of leather, please follow these care tips:
- Avoid contact with water as much as possible, especially salt and chlorinated water.
- Chemical products such as cream, perfume or deodorant can damage the leather and should not come into direct contact with your keychain.
- We recommend occasionally using leather grease, spray, or milk. Apply a thin layer of the care product and then wipe it off with a soft cloth.

How does the shackle work?

The shackle serves as a decorative element and should not be used as a replacement for the key ring. If desired, you can omit the shackle.
It's important to note that the shackle screw must be properly tightened to prevent it from getting lost.

I did not tighten the shackle screw properly and ended up losing the shackle.

Not to worry, we're here to assist you.
You can order a replacement shackle here. Please note that purchasing a replacement shackle is usually only cost-effective when combined with another product due to shipping costs.

Pssssst, here's a secret!
You can find a shackle (M4 or M5) at most hardware stores for 2-3 euros.

Can my Fischers Fritze keychain rust?

Is it possible to engrave the Keychain individually?

We do not offer individual engraving of the locks for our Keychain on site. However, it is always possible for jewelers or locksmiths to engrave them individually. Please note, however, that exchanges and returns are absolutely excluded after engraving.

Is there a magnetic clasp for the chain strap? 

The strap of our lifebuoy was designed for knotting to align with the basic maritime concept. The length can be adjusted using various knotting techniques, such as the fisherman's knot.

Unfortunately, it is not possible to incorporate a magnetic clasp similar to our bracelets. The clasp would be too weak for the 2 mm band size, leading to potential unnoticed slipping and loss of the chain.

Of course, you have the option of using a different strap than the one provided. However, we advise against using a metal chain in any case.

Can I also visit you in person?

Yes, that's possible! New premises create new opportunities. And so Fischers Fritze finally opened its doors in April 2024 - to our new store directly connected to our manufactory. We offer you size and model advice directly on site in the usual quality of service. And the best thing is that you can take your new companion with you straight away.

We know that not everyone can drop by on a daily basis. That's why we are all the more pleased if you drop by at lunchtime, on a relaxing day off or just for a personal chat.

Please note that we only accept card payments. We accept all major payment methods from debit and credit card providers as well as Apple Pay.

If you arrive by car, please park in the parking lot directly opposite the beverage market. Parking is limited in our courtyard and we have several deliveries and collections every day. However, the entrance door is located directly on Scheidtweilerstraße anyway - just ring the bell. :-) 

How does shipping work?

Your order will be dispatched upon shipping confirmation. We utilize DHL for shipping, and you will receive a separate email from DHL containing your tracking number for monitoring your package.

All orders are shipped no later than the next business day after receipt. Typically, delivery occurs within 1-3 business days.

Why do I pay shipping costs and what are the shipping fees?

As an exclusively online store, we grapple with determining the most efficient and cost-effective way to deliver our products to your doorstep. Our priority is to offer transparent and fair pricing without being influenced by large corporations. Therefore, we do not include any hidden costs in the item price but instead charge them separately for purchases under 65 euros.

We understand that this approach may result in a few orders being forgone. However, it's essential to recognize that shipping incurs costs due to various processes involved in ensuring your bracelet reaches you securely and allows you to track its progress until it arrives.

The shipping costs within Germany amount to EUR 3.60 per order.
For orders to all other countries, the shipping costs are EUR 5.60.

What does "GoGreen" mean in my DHL shipment history?

"Go Green" is an environmental protection program from DHL, our regular shipping partner. It means a more climate-friendly delivery without any additional costs for you. 
DHL measures the average CO2 emissions for all our shipments and offsets them by investing in climate projects outside the Post Group. In addition, existing internal processes are constantly being developed further, for example through the increased use of electric vehicles and the switch to alternative fuels. We pay a surcharge per parcel from Fischers Fritze for this, but we can be part of a major contribution to climate protection. And don't worry, the delivery time remains unchanged.

Why is the DHL shipping status not updating?

According to DHL it can take up to 48 hours for the shipment status to be updated. Experience has shown that this delay occurs more frequently with shipments sent out on Mondays, as they are typically delivered on the following Wednesday. If the status of your shipment has not changed after this time, please contact our customer service.

A Fischers Fritze bracelet is valuable, and its creation takes a significant amount of time. We painstakingly craft each bracelet by hand, from cutting and gluing to engraving and quality checking. We put a lot of effort into every piece, and the result is something truly unique and precious. That's the beauty of handmade craftsmanship. However, because each of us only has two hands, the price of a Fischers Fritze bracelet reflects the time and care invested in its creation, and we do not offer discounts.

Exchange & Return

How does the exchange process work?

We are happy to facilitate an exchange for your Fischers Fritze product within 30 days of receiving your order. Please note that we can only exchange items for the same size and/or products within the same price category. If you wish to exchange for a product in a different price range, please utilize the cancellation option and place a new order for the desired item.

1. Print the Fischers Fritze exchange form or write down all required information on a piece of paper. Include your new desired size, order number, and name.

2. Send your bracelet along with the exchange form in the original box or another shipping envelope to the following address:

3. Upon receipt of your return, we will promptly proceed with the exchange and reshipment at our expense.

How does the return process work ?

1. Print the Fischers Fritze withdrawal form or write down all relevant information on a piece of paper - the order number (ff-...) is particularly important here. If you have paid in advance, please also include your bank details.

2. Send the item(s) along with the withdrawal form in the original box or another shipping bag to the following address. We recommend using shipping with proof of delivery (e.g., registered mail).

3. Upon receiving your return, we will promptly refund your order to the account used for the purchase. If you are returning the entire order, we will also refund the initial shipping costs paid.
Please note that already worn bracelets are excluded from returns.

What costs do I incur for a return?

Normally, the return of your order to us is at your own expense. The choice of shipping method and company is entirely up to you and does not affect our processing. However, we always recommend opting for insured shipment for your peace of mind.

In the case of an exchange, we cover the shipping costs for sending the new item(s) back to you - this represents a fair compromise. This policy also applies if you need to exchange an item multiple times.

If you decide to cancel the entire order, we will refund the initial shipping costs incurred.
However, if you only wish to cancel part of your order, please be aware of our free shipping threshold, which is linked to a purchase amount of 65 euros. This threshold does not apply if, for example, you ultimately decide to keep only one of three items. In such cases, we will deduct the shipping costs of 3.60 euros (DE) from the refund amount, ensuring that you are refunded exactly for the items purchased.

What happens to items that I return?

When you send an item back to us, it is always returned directly to our workshop without any detours - right back to where it was manufactured and dispatched. This ensures that the item travels the shortest distance possible, from your front door to ours, avoiding unnecessary extra kilometers.

Typically, we unpack returns on the same working day we receive them and carefully inspect the products. If a product is not returned to us in perfect condition, we strive to refurbish it. This may involve tasks such as replacing parts of the clasp or shortening a damaged strap to a smaller standard size. We do not simply dispose of items carelessly; instead, we return flawless items to the sales inventory. This approach allows us to conserve resources in the long term.

Maintaining an honest exchange with our customers is also important to us. Therefore, please only send us products for exchange or return that have not been worn - although we understand that a brief fitting may be necessary. If there is any issue, simply contact our customer service. We always endeavor

Are there any special procedures for returns from Switzerland? 

If you reside in Switzerland, a direct exchange is unfortunately not feasible due to the associated customs procedures, and instead, it must be processed via return with a new order. 

For the return shipment to us, we can issue you with a return label for a fee, which simply needs to be printed out and stuck on the package. The return shipment will then reach us within a few working days and we will refund the purchase amount paid. If you cancel the entire order, you will also be refunded the shipping costs paid for the first time. At the same time, however, we will charge you 10 euros for the label issued, as returns are always paid for by our customers.

Unfortunately, independent returns without a returns label are not possible due to the customs process. 

If you are returning goods from Switzerland, it's advisable to contact our customer service via email or telephone to ensure a smooth process and expedite the delivery of your desired product.
